Does the room have to be clear?
No, but cabinets that will need to be moved have to be cleared along with all surfaces containing breakable items. Small items of furniture will also need to be removed. Heavier items will be moved (if it is safe to do so) during the clean, carpet cleaners are used to doing this. They will then be replaced with pads under to protect the carpet until fully dry. Very heavy items will be cleaned around. |

Will my carpet shrink?
Before starting any work I will inspect your carpets. At this time any risk of shrinkage will be identified and discussed with you. It may be that some of the carpet fittings need repair. Some carpets are prone to shrinkage (Seagrass for example) and have to be cleaned dry. Cleaning carpets dry is a service offered by Afresh. |

How long will my carpets take to dry?
Many factors affect the drying time of carpets, the length of the pile, the weather, the temperature in your home to name a few. Modern techniques will leave your carpets clean and only slightly damp to the touch. They should be dry in 1 to 3 hours. |

Will the black marks at the edges of my carpet come out?
These 'draft marks' can be treated, and with modern stain spotters 99% can be removed, greatly improving the appearance. However the cause of the problem needs to be addressed to prevent further staining. |

The area in front of my sofa is very dirty, can you get it clean?
The equipment used at Afresh will remove all the dirt it is possible to remove. Sometimes areas of carpet get worn (due to the abrasive affect of dirt). When a carpet is worn the pile thins, making that area look different to unworn areas. |

How long will it take?
Setting up the equipment takes about 20 minutes. Depending in how much furniture needs to be moved, and how soiled the carpet is an average living room will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes. Longer if Stainguard and AllergyGuard are applied. |
